Pilates Reformer

What is a Pilates Reformer?

The Reformer was originally designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920's and is one of the most popular pieces of Pilates equipment used today.

Joseph designed all of his exercise moves so they could be done on the mat but also on every bit of equipment he designed.

The reformer comprises of:

- A bed like carriage that moves up and down the frame on wheels

- Foot bar, where you place your hands or feet to move the carriage

- Straps, where you put your hands and feet to pull or push the carriage

- Shoulder rests, to support you while on your back

- Head rest (moveable) so you can lie flat or semi inclined

As a Clinical Instructor I can guide complete beginners through a safe Reformer workout and also use it to help rehabilitate injuries.

Feel free to contact me here to ask further questions or book in a Reformer Taster session to experience this wonderful bit of kit for yourself.
