What to expect in a studio session?

Whether you want Traditional Pilates, Clinical Pilates, rehabilitation or help with general fitness, I can help you.

 

In my sessions I use the Traditional Pilates Method mixed with Clinical Pilates techniques to help you safely reach your personal goal.  You will have access to all your homework via an online portal that can be accessed via smartphone, desktop computer or you can download the app.  Each exercise on the portal will have a video and written instructions so you know exactly what to do.

 

If you are brand new to Pilates then we will always start with mat based exercises to help you gain confidence and build good exercise 'form'.  In the studio we will explore the full Pilates Method using using the Pilates Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, the Spine Corrector and a range of small equipment including:

 

Dumbbells

- Pilates small equipment - foam roller, weighted balls, TheraBand's

I always advise clients to book an assessment first so we can chat about your needs and so I can 'see your body in action'.  This helps me decide what we need to work together on first and how best to plan our sessions together.  If you would like to share your session with a friend/family member then I do require both parties to have individual assessments.  From there you can share the cost of your block booking between each other.

I also work closely with the best Physiotherapists in the area so, if I feel you need extra support, I can refer you to get the additional medical assistance you require.

Options and Booking

45 Minute Assessment
 

I advise all new clients to purchase an assessment first.  This way we can get to know each other, discuss your needs and set out your goals.  It gives me a chance to 'see your body in action' so I can decide how best to plan our sessions together.

​

This is also a great opportunity to be introduced to the Pilates equipment and talk through which ones would best suit your goals.

​

Please note for 2:1 sessions that I require each person to have an individual assessment first.

30 minute sessions

This option is perfect for those who are new to exercise, need injury rehabilitation, Prenatal/Postnatal or

want something to fit around a current exercise regime.

​

Using a mixture of both Mat* and Equipment exercises, I will tailor each session to meet your needs and goals.

​

Most clients choose this option if they require only 1-2 sessions a week or, for rehabilitation, every few weeks.

​

These sessions are only available on a 1:1 basis. If you would like a 2:1 please book 1 hour sessions.

​

*online sessions will be mat based unless you have equipment at home

1 hour sessions

This option is perfect for those who are more experienced* in their exercise practice and want to push themselves a bit further.  Using a mixture of both Mat** and Equipment exercises, I will tailor each session to meet your needs and goals.

​

Most clients choose this option if they require only 1 session a week or, for rehabilitation, every few weeks.

​

Sessions can be bought to share as a 2:1.

​

*we can decide together which length of session is best for your needs in the assessment.
